As shown by President Obama’s on-going struggles with the Affordable Care Act, healthcare is a major issue even in the world’s richest countries. Millions of people around the world suffer from diseases that simple vaccinations, antibiotics and education could prevent. Yet for either financial or logistical reasons, people are denied access to the treatment that could save their lives.
As healthcare is such a vast issue, poster for tomorrow will tackling the issue in three areas:
• Universal access to healthcare now!
• Eradication of preventable Diseases
• Access to clean water
An entry to the competition consists of a portrait format poster addressing the proposed creative brief. Posters may be designed by a single author or by a team. Designs submitted to the contest must be original artworks previously unpublished. Designs must consist entirely of the authors' own work and must not include any copyrighted material. Designs must be presented in vertical format. Entries must be submitted as JPG files of 2953x4134 pixels at a resolution of 150dpi (corresponding to 50x70 cm in printed size) saved in RGB colour space."

I chose to produce a poster for clean water as I think it will appeal to the style in which I am looking to develop. First I started off by looking at current water posters to see what colours and compositions had been used.
As you can see clean water posters uses minimal design but strong visuals that imediately indicate what the poster is trying to achieve. Colours arent to vibrant to suggest an element of solice as well not to distract from the purpose.
I produced two different colour variations for my poster design. One reflects the calm and cleaness of our european water and the green one reflects the harmful nature of water found in Africa. I chose 2 different colours because I think it contrasts the nature of the 2 different water types.
